The Dangers of Dating a Rebound Vampire by Molly Harper

4.0

This was quite fun. Nik and Gigi are pretty good together though I probably liked them better in her sister's book. They seemed to have more chemistry in that book. Since they sneak around in this book, it almost makes the relationship pale in comparison. Still they are pretty good together.

So the fun makes it a worthwhile read and is the whole point here. The story is somewhat hampered by the turn of character for me of Ophelia.
Spoiler My biggest problem was that Ophelia puts a hit out, yet there is almost no repercussions. I liked her character in a love/hate way but feel this was over the top for her. Usually she seemed about fairness. This was anything but.
And then again, you can see the evil person painted way ahead of time. You know they are getting lax right when you are expecting something. Still getting the job and dealing with the ins and outs with all the other characters of the hollow, kept the story going. Then the end was not my favorite.
Spoiler That Gigi is attacked again and no one, not Jane or any of the others saw it coming... also that she had to be turned in order to survive. I hoped she would not come to that ploy again... but nope, it happens again
. I might have give it 4 1/2 and bumped it up, just for the wit of the humor alone, if it didn't have the attack and the ending that it did.
