Penpal by Dathan Auerbach
4.0
★★★★
The story that I’m about to tell you is the product of my own mental archaeology. If I was successful in all of this, then you will understand now as I understood then, and the pieces of my history will fall into place for you in very much the same way that they have only recently done for me.
This was before the book even started, before the first recollection of the past. This is when I knew this was gonna be a wild ride. And wow... I just have no words. I feel numb but depressed. This author knows how to tell a story. It was so descriptive and so real that it made me physically nauseous. Now I kind of just want to lock myself in my house and never leave ever again. The world is such a crazy place omg. My heart hurts for the characters in this book, some of them deserved so much more.
Penpal is a perfect reading choice for the spooky season.
We were explorers.
We were adventurers.
We were friends.
