This book was good, but it wasn’t my favourite read from this author. As always, the book was very well written. I enjoyed the world building; the paranormal and magical elements and I found the plot interesting which helped keep me engaged with the story. Although I liked the characters, the part of this book I struggled with was not feeling a connection with each of them. I feel like we didn’t get to know each of the characters well enough which added to my struggle to connect with them. And I also felt like their relationship development was lacking. The ending also felt quite rushed and ended very abruptly and then we had an epilogue set thirteen years in the future. I wish this book was a bit longer so we could have gotten that further character and relationship development, and more of a story around how everything ended up before the epilogue. All in all, this was a good paranormal romance book.
