• Loveable characters? It's complicated

 This short story collection has RANGE — Jack Wang sets his Chinese characters across time and borders. (But never with happy endings?? 😭) Style-wise, I loved the pacing of the writing. I wouldn’t say there are a lot of stunning quotes/passages, but taken as a whole, each story is absolutely brimming with life.
