This was definitely an interesting read. The characters were deep and compelling. My biggest complaint is it's depiction of mental illness. First, while it may be true to character to have the anxious protagonist continually call herself crazy, I don't think that is a healthy way of talking about mental health to an audience of youth. Additionally, its not that he wrote mental health wrong, but more that he did it so right that I think it should come with more than just a note at the end with a mental health care hotline - it should probably come with a trigger warning. Being inside a clinically anxious persons head is a BIG anxiety trigger and made this hard to get through.
