This was a mid read for me. I had heard so many great things but the characters, especially Laia, were predictable, the relationships evolved too quickly with no context and the world building was fairly weak.
The gratuitous violence and use of rape seemed a lot, especially for a YA book.
I was 50/50 as to wether I would continue the series but I am going to read the second installment and see what happens.
