I keep trying with short stories; Alice Munro is a Nobel Literature prize winner and all she writes are short stories, this one reads more like a novel in that all the stories are about Rose, through her childhood in small town Ontario, to university and into marriage and various affairs. She’s trying to be different people, but the small town is always there. So this one has got to do it for me, right?  Well no, it didn’t really come together for me, so I guess they’re just not my thing. Quest over.
