Fool's Assassin
by Robin Hobb
Robin Hobb is amazing; she is definitely in my top 5 of fantasy authors. I've never been so happy to have stumbled across a new-to-me author.
This book was largely sweet; a story of Fitz adjusting to life with an aging wife, a new daughter, his older daughter, and missing the Fool.
The last 100ish pages are the most intense in the book; there's finally some action. This does not mean the rest was bad, of course, just... Chill. I was not terribly surprised by the big revelation, but I don't think we were meant to be, so it's okay.
