Almost Mortal by Christopher Leibig

4.0

“Almost Mortal” by Christopher Leibig is a legal thriller.
The story revolves around Sam Young a dynamic, and charming upcoming district attorney with supernatural abilities. One day Camille Paradisi a young nun approaches him and, he caught up with an investigation of a serial killer. She also shares some journal entries to him which sets in 1940’s Argentina. There are some unusual entries like the person who penned down the journal he claimed to be a descendent of fallen angels. Did this journal belong to Killer? There are many questions that will be answered just by reading this interesting thriller.
The author very cleverly crafts the Character of Sam, as I meet the diverse and interesting characters on his journey to solve the case. The detailed and skillful written plot shows the personal experience as an attorney of the author.
Overall, this contemporary legal thriller with magical realism makes me read more of the author’s work.
