How Fascism Works: The Politics of Us and Them by Jason Stanley

5.0

I realized I actually don’t understand the concept of fascism that well (could I articulate it with wisdom in a sentence? I couldn’t!) so I checked out a bunch of books at the library and I think this is the best one of the lot (maybe with the exception of Arundathi Roy’s “Azadi,” but they serve different purposes/audiences.)

This is a clear, direct, and important read, especially within a U.S. context and especially as the (fascist!) genocide in Gaza continues.
