This book was an adventure. The author beautifully describes the Alaskan wilderness and presents so many different ways you can lose someone you love. The plot and family dynamics of the main characters were painfully relatable in a lot of ways. My main gripe with this story is the court scene towards the end. The storyline felt rushed and a bit silly in the context of the rest of the book . Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book for the author’s spectacular use of language and deep reflections on love and grief.
