The End Run by Christy Hayes

4.0

This book is the second book in the Kiss and Tell series so if you haven't read the first one there are possible spoilers ahead --

The first book of the Kiss and Tell Series, Stalling For Time, followed football player Zach and his breakup with his long time girlfriend Emily. In The End Run, you see get a chance to see Zach in a different light. You get to actually learn who Zach is from a different perspective rather than just as Emily's distant boyfriend. You feel for him and how hard what he went through in the first book must have been and you see how he is dealing with trying to move on with his life. You also meet Jenna Peterson, Zach's tutor who, personality wise, is very different from Zach and calls him on his nonsense. I loved Jenna. She was so fun and sassy yet had her own insecurities about her feelings for Zach and how she could compare to Emily -- Zach's previous girlfriend of 5 years.

I liked this book a lot better than the first one to be honest. The characters were more likeable and the story between Jenna and Zach was a good read. I liked Jenna as a character and felt like she brought a good dynamic to the story. I still felt that overall it lacked some depth which kept me from giving it a higher rating but this was an entertaining read.
