The Nowhere Girls
by Amy Reed
I felt that the Nowhere Girls was the kind of book every girl should read going into high school,in this book there are many different topics met.
This story takes place in a small town and is told from the perspective of the girls that live there. The story starts off with the narrative of Grace a new comer to Prescott, Oregon .She was forced to leave behind her hometown because of her mother's new view of their faith. At school she befriends to girls labeled as outcasts, Erin and Rose. It's also at school that she learns something shocking about girl who lived in her house before her.
The three girls band together to get justice for a girl who was gang raped but was ignored and bullied instead of being believed. They fight against the school that wants to cover up the sexist behavior of the school and town. I felt empowered by the strength of this book , it made happy if that makes sense. This book was like having a warm hug from a good friend , it was that good.
