Blame!, Volume 1 by Tsutomu Nihei

5.0

Re-read. Sometimes between the library or selling books to buy more I forget about how rewarding having books on the shelf to revisit can be. Blame! is a perfect example of this because of how ambiguous and confusing it is. I don't necessarily know if digging deeper would yield more answers (although the art absolutely demands more attention than a lot of manga does) but I'm definitely not reading this for the narrative. It's mostly vibes. Like The Matrix meets Dark Souls. That mystery almost begs you to revisit, answers be damned. Glad I held onto these editions because I can already see myself revisting the series a third time.
