Say Nothing: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland by Patrick Radden Keefe

5.0

This isn't really a book about the murder of Jean McConville (although that is covered). This is really a book about the Boston Tapes. Drawing heavily on the personal accounts given in the Belfast Project, especially those from Dolours Price and Brendan Hughes, it is a personal account of the history of the Troubles.

What makes this book different from others is the author's excellent story-telling skills. The writing is excellent and it feels like reading a true crime story. The author makes brilliant use of anecdotes and little details that are often ignored that really brings the history to life. I highly recommend it.
