Batman Vol. 10: Epilogue by Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV

3.0

This smorgasbord of stories range from excellent to just ok. The Futures End story was intriguing, but without context it was unsatisfying. The stories from Batman 51-52 tied up some loose ends and reset some key ingredients prior to Rebirth (for example, Alfred gets a new hand in an almost throwaway manner in just a couple of panels), but weren't particularly otherwise notable. The story from Batman Annual 4 was probably the best story, revealing a bit about young Bruce Wayne's training journey and what motivates him. The Rebirth story had an interesting take on Calendar Man, but was really just out of place in this volume. Even for Batman completists, this volume is pretty inconsequential. The artwork by Greg Capullo is outstanding as usual, and I also enjoyed Riley Rossmo's art on "The List."
