How to Catch a Rival
by Ana Ashley
This one didn't land well for me. The "secrets" being kept seemed kind of stupid (as in, I don't really get why they were being kept--I know the character's reasons, I just don't *get* them). Tom felt all over the place. First he outrageously flirts with Wren *in front of his mother, who happens to be Tom's boss* and then is all "I'd better get to work so Wren doesn't get me fired." Uh. What? Maybe I misread or misinterpreted that, but.. huh? Miscommunication/lack of communication aren't tropes I enjoy and this book seemed founded on basically that. So, just not my favorite experience of the series so far. Totally a me thing, probably.
