4 1/2 stars (rounded up)

Fun, fun, fun! This was the perfect book to read when Brad was gone on a weekend scout trip. I meant to only read for a few minutes but ended up getting sucked in for 4 hours straight. So why 4 1/2 stars? First it is my attempt to differentiate a true love story from a fictional love story. Second, it has lead to a month long infatuation with the "Pioneer Woman." I've checked out her first cookbook from the library and have enjoyed trying recipes, I watched some of her cooking shows and I also looked at her blog. It has been a fun obsession.

Reading this book has got me wishing that more people would write up their dating stories. Perhaps they'd have to be novellas because they couldn't get a whole novel out of their story but it sure would be great. I was super impressed with the author because of her honesty. I would think it would be embarrassing to write about your first kiss. Not only do you read about her first kiss but also about how they made out every time they were together. This has me thinking that that is probably way more accurate then fiction stories where the main characters FINALLY kiss at the end of the book. Just sayin'
