Becoming by Michelle Obama

4.0

To follow Michelle Obama along her way from little girl to fierce political persona is absolutely enjoyable and remarkably moving. More than once I found myself touched by her perspective. I giggled when she told the tale of the first encounters with Barack. And I felt empowered when she reported about her efforts, her actions and her impact concerning female networks.
Sometimes I found her to uncritical with her own and the former presidents decisions, for example the assassination of Bin Laden. And I was estranged about her nearly body shaming view on “overweight” children.
But all in all I liked this book and found her voice so very important in the contemporary times.
