Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan
5.0
I have to say this book really surprised me because I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. I have to commend the author on a great entrance into the literary world. It was a short and sweet kind of book that I didn't want to put down. The story was a great mix between the present and past. He encapsulated perfectly the very dilemma that we face everyday; the allure of technology and having information at our fingertips while still appreciating the "old ways" of learning from text and books, and using one's mind as our primary tool on our quests for knowledge. Overall, it was a imaginative and enjoyable read.
