I love superheroes (especially the X-Men) but always struggled to get into comics as a kid. Where to start? What timeline is this? And why are they so darn expensive? This collection solved the problem for me - it's a great story, great art, and a perfect entry point. If you've watched the last few x-men movies or occasionally read Wikipedia articles, you're good to go. And you'll have a blast.
