This is my third Grady Hendrix book, and this was honestly the scariest to me. His portrayal of Lynnette's paranoia seeped into me to the point that I was paranoid while reading this. I could feel her emotions just as well as my own, from sadness to betrayal to fear. I so desperately want to rate this higher, especially since the end made me curl up and cry a little, but it would've been so much better if he had cut about 75 pages off. The twists were well worth it, and the ending was perfect. It just should've been a bit shorter, especially because much of the action happened in the last 100 pages, so the first 200 or so dragged more.
