This was a great fourth book, especially after not enjoying book three I am glad this one made up for it. However, I did miss Ferius and Reichis for the most part of the book. It was heart wrenching to see Kellen lose his friends. I loved that he stood up to his family, and finally learned more about the Shadowblack though. Being alone for a time did make him appreciate his friends more. I am excited to see how this story will continue in the next instalment of this series.
