The Holiday Trap by Roan Parrish

4.0

The Holiday Trap is a sweet story that brings the charm you want in a holiday (Hanukkah and Christmas) book, but isn’t so focused on the holidays that it could be enjoyed anytime.

In this LBGTQ+ take on The Holiday (2006), we get Truman from New Orleans swapping homes with Greta from Maine. The storyline with Greta was alright, but Truman’s was really where this book shined. I would have loved for Truman to have a entire book. His relationship with Ash was a really adorable slow burn that had them working really well together romantically and professionally.

Just a heads up, this does have storylines with homophobic actions by family members and illness of a parent.

I primarily listened to this on audio and the narrators did a really great job!
