The prose took a bit to get used to, and there are some tough themes especially at the beginning. After that though, the book really flies by and I was very invested in Celie's story.
As a non religious person, I actually quite enjoyed their musings about God and the meaning of life. The author had some beautiful thoughts.
I will definitely continue to ponder that.
