Stuck with You by Ali Hazelwood

One thing about Ali Hazelwood’s stories is that she will not let you forget that he’s a giant and she’s super tiny.
Sadie was so annoying, and Erik was just there. They both love engineering and soccer, so of course, they must be soulmates! I’m not an insta-love trope hater, but the timing here felt a little insane. I cannot imagine saying “I love you” to someone I spent less than 24 hours with, then ghosted for three weeks.
I get that things weren’t looking great for Erik and that his actions could easily cause a major misunderstanding, but COME ON. The miscommunication trope can be fun sometimes, but stupid Sadie runs way after his completely reasonable explanation and she actually could’ve seen his receipts much sooner. We wouldn’t have needed her friends to talk some sense into her if she had just waited in the lobby like Erik asked. If you’re already having a discussion to clear things up, FINISH the conversation. Shit was so annoying to see her run out of there like an idiot.
Overall, this was a quick read (the shortest in the collection), so I was able to tolerate Sadie and Erik. I didn’t care for them as a couple, but they made me smile a few times, so it was okay.
Audiobook side note: I liked Meg Sylvan as Sadie, but I wasn’t a fan of her Erik voice.
