The Siren by Kiera Cass
5.0

There's no thing as a 'perfect book'and I would admit no matter the 5 stars I gave a book it would not make it the best book alive. But I think that is what makes an author unique~the ability to make a book imperfect. I've read Kiera Cass's The Selection series and I must admit, the ending was something I imagined. But then there were times when that imagination wavered because of one or two reasons but it still remained. Now back to The Siren.I didn't really pay much attention to this book.Due to the fact that I wanted to read a book by Kiera whose characters weren't familiar,I picked it up.This story took me by surprise.I don't feel giddy like I was when I read The Selection.I actually feel sad and thoughtful. This was on account of,I feel this book has more meaning to it than just another love story. It had a melancholic feel to it.It had a lot of goodbyes in it and that gave me a lot to think about. The girls all had reasons to be part of The Siren and it made me think''what are we doing with the people we love?'' and also that it is only when we really get separated from people that we begin to love them a lot.I also realized this~We really need to cherish those who are close to us...before they begin to slip away. Overall this was an amazing read and I hope everyone who gets to read this will feel the way I felt!
