zbmorgan 's review for:
Tracking down the audio vesionof this is worth the effort, as Crystal reads it himself, parts even to a live audience, just like one of his stand-up performances. For this Monsters, Inc. fan it took some getting used to, as the first couple of chapters are about sex and he sounds just like Mike Wazowski, his character from the animated film, but his voice settles in about when you do.
It's clear Mr Crystal loves his family, his profession, and baseball (not necessarily in that order). His stories about meeting celebrities along the way are funny, his sometimes eccentric family members heartwarming, and his friendships with Mickey Mantle and Muhammed Ali elevate him to a truly amazing person who somehow, after all this, seems to have a great deal of humility. An absolute delight.
