Still really enjoyed this book but it was kind of underwhelming…It felt like the writer was just trying to find a way to complete the Shadow of Kyoshi with a deadline.
I really liked it when Kyoshi met Yangchen though! When she remembered what Nyahitha said about how a fire is never the same fire was sooo good. It was the perfect reflection of how each avatar was different.
“She still had to be careful not to lose her balance and fall. Kyoshi kept her eyes focused on her difficult path, sometimes stumbling but making sure to catch herself, taking one step at a time.” I love this line, it captures her (or literally any Avatar for the matter) journey perfectly, but it reminds me of cheesy personal essays that I was forced to write in Junior year.
