As a Middlegrade book I loved this!
Loved the world, the magic system, the characters, the plot!
A young girl, searching for her missing brother stumbles into a world of super natural beings, where she competes against legacy kids who have known about this world their entire lives to become a coveted Junior Agent.
Instead of receiving enhanced supernatural abilities like everyone else, Amari is given an illegal ability which alienates her even more than her legacy status.
The book dives into friendship, strength, determination, choices and highlights why we should stop painting people with the same brush before getting to know them.
Filled with suspense, mystery, and deceit, this book hooked me! Can't wait to read book 2.
