I absolutely adored the hell out of this book. I loved the banter, the characters themselves, and the general plot held my attention the entire time. Also I must say the chapter endings each have such great hooks that make you want to keep reading. The only thing I did 't like and that and that grate on my nerves was the the way that Dante would almost weaponizes sex and intimacy. If he didn't like something she was doing he would give her the cold shoulder and completely withhold love, affection, or even attention from her. Or when he didn't want to have discussions about things that genuinely needed to be talked about he would have sex with her. I get that it's a character flaw, that's not my issue with it, it was the language surrounding those instances that made me uncomfortable. Because even in those moments Vivian would say things like know I should stop him but I can't, or my desire to be mad dissolved when he kissed me. And that just didn't sit right with me at all. I was able to ignore it the first couple of times, but it was such a reoccurring thing that really started pulling me out of the story every time it happened after that. This is why it's not a five stars.
