Wow, Colleen does it again and makes me rethink my favourite books! I loved this story, I was hooked from the beginning with the playful humour and honest interactions. From there, it only got better and I did not see the massive twist coming. I think it’s best to read Colleen’s books without knowing much about them, and just allow yourself to get fully swept away in the storyline. This book is no exception, and I love the honest depiction of trauma as always - it’s strengthening to learn of the absolute worst things that could happen to someone and still be able to feel empathetic for them. Loved it!!
Graphic: Suicide and Fire/Fire injury
Moderate: Violence and Death of parent
Minor: Car accident and Cancer
