Jonas by Jenna Myles

5.0

Jonas is the brother I’ve been waiting for and my excitement only tripled once he met Janey in Colt’s story.

Jonas and Janey both walk through and process the world a little differently and are beautiful of examples neurodiversity.

Jonas is on the autism spectrum and I feel like Jenna handles this subject well and consciously. The Brash Brothers series has never been about trying to “fix” or “solve” Jonas, but instead accommodate his needs to help him achieve success. He’s a badass character and I personally loved the way his mind worked and related in more than one instance.

Jonas’s obsession with Janey hit him out of nowhere and when Janey needs rescuing he knows just how to save her—offer himself up for a marriage of convenience. He’ll solve her problems and she’ll give him a real chance. The only catch? Janey’s pretty confident she can fall for Jonas, but she’s more worried he’ll realize she’s not worth it.

Seeing Janey work through and overcome a lifetime of being made to feel less than and worthless was tear jerking. Watching these two love each other was everything I could have hoped for and more.
