Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an e-arc of this book!

While this book has aspects and tropes of a rom-com, it also deals with many heavy topics, such as immigration, racism, abuse, and more. Yet, it tells a deeply romantic story of two best friends who find love amid their lives' tragedies. The book can be chaotic, as the MCs' lives are forced into chaos by others, including Kenny's ex-girlfriend, their boss, and the United States government. But this chaos is fantastic!

This book includes tropes like best friends to lovers, fake dating, fake engagement, and has elements of BDSM in it. It is a genuinely fun book, even with its heavy elements, with characters who feel real and in love from the very beginning.

While Kenny is out as Bi from the start, Han is exploring his sexuality, including going through the emotions of that one Reddit post where a roommate is concerned he's homophobic, but instead, he's actually jealous!

Check this one when it comes out on January 21st!
