Fallen Skies is a brilliant novel that gives the reader a glimpse into post-war England in the 1920s and how society and class was forever changed, a dark look into the horrors faced by living soldiers after WWI, and melds them into the story of a woman with a love for life and a very strong will. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys English period novels or appreciates Philippa Gregory's work in general.
