Wow. The last 50 pages or so blew me away with how everything tied up.
I always say that the best books I read are the ones I finish and immediately want to reread. And after finishing this novel an hour ago, I can confirm that impulse is present.
I'm a geek when in comes to metaphors and nature imagery, and Roy executes this flawlessly. She describes the ugly and the beautiful in such a rich voice. Every stylistic decision Roy makes is from well thought out intention.
No matter how many times I read this book, I think I will learn something or realize an element I didn't catch before.
