This is a great book for high school students questioning their sexuality. It addresses important issues within the queer community, such as biphobia. The character Gretchen, a lesbian, feels compelled to act as a gatekeeper for the community due to her own experiences. While her perspective is valid, it doesn't justify her judging whether someone’s "label" suits them. Forcing others to conform to one’s own standards mirrors the very exclusion that the LGBTQIA+ community has historically faced. The author skillfully explores these issues, presenting both sides of the argument in a way that readers can understand. The witty banter between characters had me genuinely laughing out loud. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a charming story about gay and bi awakenings, featuring lovable characters!
