Honestly I have had this book on "currently reading" for nearly two years. Yes the food sounds amazing. Yes I'd love to live in Italy and renovate an old villa. In all actuality the movie is one of my favorites but the book is very different and it just doesn't engage me. I won't give it any stars because I didn't finish it. I can't review what I didn't finish in my own mind so I will just sadly leave this as is.
I normally HAVE to finish a book I start, no matter how awful, but this book isn't bad or god... it's just kind of blah to me. And I don't feel the need to finish it. That is definitely a first for me.
Maybe in a few years I will try it again but for now this book will be all by its lonesome on my didn't finish shelf.
