Such tense moments and well written scenes. They are so plot armor afoot. I think some of the interactions with Kolos lack depth, particularly when he’s more vulnerable acting. The ending really had me guessing even though I know Sera ascends successfully and survives everything . I really wanted Ector to have been brought back somehow. I think the imprisonment scenes and the mental toll they take was incredibly written. And the way the author is, so far, handling the way Veses and Sera feel about SA to be appropriate. I do not feel that it was written that way for character development which I appreciate. I’m hoping to get more information on some of the other Primals, like Phanos, in the next book. The way they go to Cas’ cavern and the very clear vision of Sera with her twin cubs were nice touches without it being over done.
