Stone Butch Blues by Leslie Feinberg

First off, I'd like to acknowledge this book for what it is; a step forward in gender equality and understanding, a much needed view in to the difficult life of being "other"--of not fitting in with the social norm, and it's a beacon of hope to those who are struggling with their own sense of identity.

I liked the story, I feel that this needed to be written about. More books about this type of material need to be written and shared. I also think that this book wasn't that well written and that took me out of the story at times. The messages are good, the delivery is a little lacking to the point for me where it was distracting. I would have given one more star had this book been a little better composed.
