McKettrick's Choice by Linda Lael Miller

3.0

A handsome cowboy, a damsel in distress and a whole series of misunderstandings! Okay, not quite damsel in distress, but Lorelei certainly needed someone to help her out as her determination and impulsiveness continually got her into trouble. Holt naturally fell into the role of protector, despite wanting to walk away from her many times. I found it frustrating at times that although Lorelei was supposed to be such a smart character she did an awful lot of foolish things. I am all for leading with your heart - but use that brain of yours too! I much prefer heroines who have some sense! But, a cowboy gets me every time, and it is the character of Holt that brought this up to a three for me!
