This book is bad - I mean really bad. After the first couple of chapters I began to "hate read".
Where to start. . .  Well, the main character is supposed to be a special forces ex operative but he is written as a whiny 14 yo girl whose favourite saying is "you're such an asshole/asshat". Why write him with this back story when you are going to ignore that major part of his formation as a person. I bet the guy who shot Osama Bin Laden yelled "You're such an asshat!" just before he shot him!
There is so little plot that most of the book is a repeat of this phrase over and over and over again! The plot is so linear and one dimension that it does not rate a mention - here it is: demon bad, demon hurt main character, demon tracked, demon killed.
It is obvious that the author does not know any gay men - take it from me we are not into the "will he be my soul mate" stuff before we root! Two gay guys sharing a bed would not be content with a simple cuddle! Writing gay men as if we are women in male bodies is not the way to make up a character. It would have been better to make the main character a woman - and make her bad ass. Unfortunately the author would still make her out to be a sullen teenager with bad communication skills.
There are only a few characters in the story so there if you don't warm to the main characters then you will have little to interest you. And the characters that are introduced are one dimensional place holders. Ex boyfriend - bad! Chief of police - grumpy, Brother - petulant child etc, even the villain has a lisp OMG did not see that one coming NOT!
Also if the phrase "you are mine, baby . . ." does not warn you to run away from this book then I do not know what else I can say to save you the pain of reading this utter trash of a novel - apart from  SPOILER HERE - the fact that the villain is introduced in the same chapter he is killed at the end of the story.
OMG spend your hard earned cash somewhere else.
