In The Wicked We Trust by Precious Gibson

dark sad fast-paced

2.0

I did not enjoy this at all and I so desperately wanted to. Firstly, Kenya (or D as she seems to be named) is a complete train wreck of a character and she remained unloveable to me from start to end. No character redemption.

I didn’t like the style of writing either. The quotes from characters were all in paragraphs and it would’ve been easier to read and know who was saying what if each quote was given it’s own line break.

The story was so fast-paced and drama-filled unnecessarily and half the time reading I was very confused as to how things managed to escalate.

Unfortunately this was disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
