The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman

Is there such a thing as a cozy murder story? This is a character-driven story set in a retirement community. The retirees are on it! I love seeing the sharpness and law-breaking they do. There is a wholesome vibe to the book even though there are some dark and sad things. And there is humor, along with the twists and turns.

I hope this series goes on for a long time. I adore these characters. Older folks are often invisible in society as their “hotness currency” makes them less valuable. This also can make them great protagonists. Their stories are interesting. They can sneak around undetected as well!
