The Prince of Mist by Carlos Ruiz Zafón
Did not finish book.
I really couldn't get into "Shadow of the wind". But as everybody told me just how wonderful Zafons books are, I wanted to give it another try. As this was published as ya fantasy in Germany - and I love both ya and fantasy of all kinds - I gave it another go.
But sadly I now really know - Zafon and I will never be a good duo.
For a ya book, the plot progressed way to slow for me. Not much was happening, and although the publishing house promoted it with "goosebumps for sure" I didn't find it in any way creepy. In fact I was rather bored while reading it. I know a lot of people who love it, but those are the ones who usually love modern literature. Not so much the ones that love fantasy or ya. So I once again think it is due to me not being the right audience, and not the book being bad.
