Neuromancer by William Gibson

If it wasn’t for needing to read this book for a class, I would have quit after the first chapter. I could not get into this book. It was difficult to stay focused on and I didn’t connect to any of the characters. The vernacular of this world was confusing and unfamiliar so I was often confused about what was going on. I ended up listening to the audio book as I read the physical copy which helped but only on a surface level. There was no emotional connection to any of the characters or events for me so when it came to the big reveal where you except to get the ‘aha’ moment, I didn’t know what to be ‘aha-ed’ about.
