Let's Get Lost by Adi Alsaid

5.0

Leila is on a road trip to see the Northern Lights. She doesn't have much of a plan and just enjoys riding along in her red red red car and seeing what happens.

First she stops at a service station and meets Hudson. They have a lovely day and night together. He is getting ready for a college interview and doesn't like Leila's intuition on the matter and gets angry and she drives away.

Then outside of Kansas, she picks up Bree. Bree is a runaway who is looking to Seize the Tuesday. She has no end game and is just living life day by day. Their story was my least favorite, but again, Leila helps her companion find her way.

When she is in Minnesota, she meets Elliott when she almost runs over him. The two of them then go on a quest a la 80s movies in order for him to win over his true love.

Finally in Canada, she picks up Sonia who is grieving her boyfriend who passed away unexpectedly but is also tormented b/c she's falling in love again.

Leila touches each of their lives deeply before continuing her journey. And they all have an impact on her as she struggles to find herself.

This one was really sweet. Leila is an amazing character who is strong and kind and significantly more brave than I have ever been.
