"Sometimes people do exactly what you think they're going to do, and they still manage to disappoint you."
This book is exactly that: predictable and disappointing.
The fmc said “I should’ve…” so much that, by the end, SHE should’ve be sentenced to life in prison for being so dumb. She was so naive and couldn’t stop and think for more than 2 seconds before making dumb decisions. I don’t think I really liked any of these characters. The big plot twist was incredibly underwhelming, some parts of the storyline are extremely unrealistic and the book ended up being saved by the epilogue.
The reason for 2.5 stars and not less is because the pacing was good, the book is incredibly bingeable and accessible, the epilogue added a nice twist, and the premise is interesting enough that the reader wants to know what happened.
