Mystery was intriguing the flash back scenes to the 80s really added something to the story. This was second in the series however it wasn't necessary to read the first book to fallow the story or enjoy. However i admit certain things might have been missed in detail because i didn't read the first book. However it wasn't necessary to enjoy the story and mystery. Not that this book has domestic abuse, sexual assault, violence, neglect and strong language so be aware of that before picking up this book. The mystery and characters moved the story and kept me intrigued
