How to Take Smart Notes: One Simple Technique to Boost Writing, Learning and Thinking – for Students, Academics and Nonfiction Book Writers by Sönke Ahrens

informative slow-paced

3.0

A decent book that took a bit more time convincing you of the methodology than I think necessary. I appreciated learning a few biases I had never heard of, and left feeling relatively convinced that Zettelkasten is indeed a reasonable system. I was yearning for more theory and best practice though, for things like "what is a digital note length best practice," or "how can this realistically be applied in fields outside of scientific research," or "what are some examples of digital analogs to using the numbering system?" Ultimately I think you're better served researching Zettelkasten online, but this is a good intro if you prefer books.
